    If anyone has a thumb drive lying around give it a test to see if its still working for me i tried 3. None are recognized by the console. After the most recent Skip Ahead Update on XSX. I have music on one that i listen to but no longer works on the console. Already reported but figured I'd make a post since i doubt many will be running thumb drives. I have a 256gb a 16gb and a 4gb i tried 2 sandisks and a Lexar.

    Cant download update, log in to xbla, or play downloaded games from the marketplace.

    I've already tried that. I have a 500 gb hdd plugged in thru usb and my xbox recognizes it as a f;ash drive. I have about 460 gb free.

    When you format the USB stick for the 360, your PC shouldn't recognize the files to copy them over.

    Formats like FAT32 and NTFS will be recognized. Afaik there is no size limit, I have an 16gb USB stick which is recognized immediatly by the one.

    Are you having a media file like mpg or mp3 on your thumbstick?

    You can also use a USB stick to transfer stuff as well but that takes longer.
