    Xbox Gamertag Resets?


    Hey Xbox Support I heard there will no longer be anymore gamertag mass resets due to the new system, On the matter I’ve heard an account/gamertag will be free’d up after 5 years and 2+ years of no Microsoft login my question is this seems unlikely my first old Xbox account is 12+ years old which I lost after I got the red ring on my Xbox 360 ever since the. I’ve never used the account of the Microsoft account because as when I got my new Xbox was probably somewhere around 2+ years after my previous Xbox 360 got the red ring and still even to this day I look at that account and even after no Microsoft nor Xbox account has been logged into in over a decade still no reset on the account or the gamertag so my question is why does this happen and why do Xbox claim to reset gamertag after no sign in after 5+ years and 2+ years of Microsoft browsers being used whatsoever and still no reset on anything do gamertags even get reset anymore at all because by the looks of things they don’t for some very odd reason and doesn’t make any sense to me

    Changing my gamertag

    Basically it means they don't have a regular schedule for resetting gamertags. The last time they reset gamertags was a few years ago when they reset gamertags from the original Xbox service after that service was discontinued. So it's possible they won't
    reset 360 gamertags for years.
