Why i got banned for 1 year because i changed my gaming pic??

I got banned for a gamer pic that was just a selfie in black and white. Why did this even happen? I almost forgot, how is Everlost Ragex a gamer tag that needs to be force-changed into

Sorry to be such a noob, i looked there also? I had the pic before i got gears 3? question i have is i had to buy a new xbox, old one was taken by the red ring of death, could the pic be from gears 1 or 2 and because i haven't played those games on my new
xbox? that is why i can't get the pic back? Any suggestions? the picture i am referring to is the red cog with skull. should i try playing gears 1 and 2 on my xbox?

i want my money back for my xbox 1 year subscription and for the map packs because i got banned for nothing

Gamer pics get banned fairly regularly. Usually it's because someone has an historical figure in their pic that has some kind of stigma attached. It may not offend the person using it and may not be intended to offend anyone else. Someone complains though
and there you go. Best thing is to change your pic and move on. I'm guessing you got a 24hr ban but if it's longer you
could appeal it.
