    How do I fix the error code 0x8007003B on my Xbox


    All of a sudden I have this error. I did all the stuff suggested… right down to resetting my console. What a pain!!! I had to reinstall all my apps… I was able to keep my existing profile and all that but what an hassle!! Things seemed to be working ok after all that but then I shutdown on a whim… and restarted and I’m right back to the same dang issue. Nothing worked!! Is this some sort of glitch in the new update OS that was installed today May 8th 2024??? I cant use any of the apps I’m paying for because I CANT LOG IN TO MY ACCOUNT!!! Please tell me this is being worked on… I’m clearly not the only one having this issue today.

    This has been affecting more users, but on the Xbox Status page, it's not mentioned yet: https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status

    Please, try changing the Port Selection on the connection settings, from automatic to manual.

    Go to Profile and System > Settings > General > Network Settings > Advanced Settings> Alternate Port Selection > Manual > Choose any from the Menu starting with a 4 or 5 (Example: 49215 or 57165).

    Following Xbox Support* on X is highly recommended if you have an account there.

    They consistently share updates on issues and solutions.

    Please, create an Application Password if you don't have one.

    Sign in to your Microsoft account here: https://account.microsoft.com/

    Select Security > Advanced Security Options > Scroll down to Application Passwords and click on Create a New Application Password

    Take note of this password and use it to log in to your account on your Xbox 360.

    If you don't see the option to create an App Password, turn on 2-step verification first, it's on the same page.
