Game pass question: same account different game pass options

My father plans on getting the Game Pass Ultimate specifically, as I tried to make clear in the question title and my third sentence. That means there are perks for both PC and console, as well as the Gold membership included.

With that in mind, were you referring to playing different games on different accounts using the same game pass at the same time in your reply, or were you talking about downloading games/using the store? Is that valid for the Game
Pass Ultimate, and for both method A and B?

My Microsoft name is different from my game pass name this is the same account

Actually the account that owns the game licence (account1), does not have game pass, its the other account (account 2) that has the licence through game pass.

So I own one licence on my pc (account1), and the other through game pass on my Xbox (account2).

They are each on different Microsoft accounts.

Is it still the same issue?

Yes, the only option in this case is to purchase the game from Console 3 with your son's account and at least a Game Pass Core subscription so he can play online. If that account is only intended for playing purchased games online and not the Game Pass catalog, then it's better to just buy Game Pass Core since it's cheaper.

If the games you want to play are part of the Game Pass catalog, keep in mind that Game Pass Core has a more limited game catalog, as you can see in the following link by selecting "Game Pass Core" in the filters:

If the games you want to play are not in that catalog, then the most feasible option is to buy Game Pass Ultimate, which includes the complete Game Pass game catalog and also includes Game Pass Core, allowing you to play online.

And answering your last question, yes, you can share your account subscription with your daughter on Console 2, while your son on Console 3 has his own subscription.

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to this question, "Why Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass?", the "Or" in the question is more of a "And/or". When you upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate it will convert bot Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold
