Making a complaint about misusing my personal data

After an hour of backwards and forwards with a chat agent, they advised I needed to come here to make a complaint. Given it relates to potential misuse of data this doesn't seem quite right but here I am.

Can someone advise me of the proper complaints proceedure as this is beyond a joke now if I'm honest
