Remote Play Only Get A Black Screen

Ok so I have the black screen issue when trying to play remote play. You can hear the music of the game but can't see it. If I turn on my TV then it works fine. So after a bunch of research I think I have figured out that it is a HDMI issue. So here is my set up. I have a Xbox X that has a HDMI that runs to my AV Reciever, it then runs to a projector. I tried changing the Fidelity & Over scan setting on the XBOX to HDMI from Auto but that made my screen really small on the TV. Now I just read a post where someone said to unplug the HDMI from the xbox and that WORKED! Atleast if I only want to play remote. So I am trying to solve the problem so I don't have to plug and unplug. My question is, is it a Receiver setting issue or an XBOX setting issue? And what do I need to change to make it work? Thanks!
