Black screen when launching a game or going to home screen

It doesn’t matter what tv I use, I’ve tried multiple different tvs, different HDMI cables, and nothing is working. When I launch a game, the screen turns black for about 3 seconds, then you can see again. Same thing when you close the game or go to the home screen from a game. It’s driving me fucking nuts because I can’t find the setting anywhere that would be causing this. My little brother and good friend both have a series s as well and neither one of their consoles do it
