Not connected to Xbox network issues

When I go to play a game on my Xbox it loads up almost the entire way and then gives me a message saying I need to connect to the xbox network even though I am and after I click off the message it takes me offline and won't let me online. I've tried restarting and resetting everything. Can someone help with my problem
