I need help with Microsoft Rewards points!

I just now recently used up most of my rewards points. Started with 40,974 and it cost 35,000 rewards points I used them on the 3 months game pass ultimate and I can’t download any games. Is there anything I’m missing? This is my first time doing it this way. I had a code sent to my phone and put it in and that all that really happened. I’m not able to play or download anything. Or did Microsoft just scam me?
