Is Xbox using our accounts to advertise games on their platform or is it a bug?

I also don't really care myself... I don't get information about games from watching ads, I tend to see them in EB or talk to the guys there, along with seeing articles about them on the net.

Well every game commercial you see for the 360 is multiplatform. They don't have any exclusives except Gears, Forza and Halo. It doesn't bother me. I read reviews on multiplat games and if some are better on PS3, I get them for that and vice-versa.

If Microsoft is the one footing the bill for a Call of Duty ad, then of course they aren't going to name their competitor in the commercial.

This is just stupid! Why can't our kids join cross platform parties? This has nothing to do with their age. This is clearly a bug.

Exactly, it's like that in order to be on the xbox platform, they have to change their game code for it to work.

That makes no sense at all that a dev studio should drastically change its game code just to be able to work on a particular platform at the risk of creating bugs for their customer base

You would think that Microsoft would work hard to make it simple for developer in order to promote the xbox live platform whereas in fact it is not, and that it all comes down to "it's the fault of the dev of the game that it doesnt work on xbox live. It's their job now to fix the fact that it works on all other platform but not ours !!!!"

And as the previous poster said, we know you can't do anything about it, but at least, if you want to sell us this story, make it believable.
