Xbox Controller Battery Pack Sizing

When you say you've tried New battery packs, was it a new battery pack designed for the Series S/X controllers? The Xbox One Venom battery packs won't fit the new controllers (Venom sell newer versions of these). The controller's much smaller size may have necessitated some minor changes?

I don't get your battery problem I use the normal battery pack that comes with the plug and play in the elite controller plus I'm assuming you use normal rechargeable batteries which should be the same size as the normal batteries the controller comes with

According to what I have found they take size AA batteries again so getting a type C cord should work. I am in the same boat as I have 4 of the battery packs.

Just curious...did you ever try to recreate the 360 battery pack on the back of the one controller. You know, mount a similar sized "box" in the same location but on the one?

I don't know if it's the perspective of the photo, but the charging cable looks pretty bent at the connector. Maybe the leads inside the cable are broken due to the extreme angle.

Also, depending on how old the battery pack is: usually batteries have a lifetime of roughly 1000 charging cycles. So be aware that batteries are parts that wear out. You need to get new rechargeable batteries eventually.

And as for your problem with the standard AA batteries not fitting: As others said there is a battery holder the size of your rechargeable battery pack. It has two holes to hold the batteries, and you then clip the whole holder into your controller similar
to the rechargeable battery pack.

If you don't want to buy a new play & charge kit, simply buy rechargeable AA batteries (for example Eneloop batteries are quite good) and use them in the regular battery holder in your controller.
