xbox wireless controller problem

my xbox wireless controller cant disconnect on my pc. ive been having this issue for like 2 months on my pc now. the surprising thing is that when i try to connect the controller on my laptop, it works like a charm. so the controller is still good but i think theres a problem with my pc. Anybody got any idea on how to remove the controller??The remove button is just gray, when i click on it, nothing happens. When i open up devices and printers, and i click on remove controller, nothing happens as well.
