    stick drift??


    My xbox controller has stick drift after i just tap it. It goes back to place when i tap my joystick forward but the input is saying that my joystick is still being pushed forward. I have the same exact issue with my other controller, i dont think its a physical issue, but an issue in settings but im still lost on how to fix it. Ive looked at multiple obline sources and still havent found anything i was looking for

    I have two controllers BOTH with drift issues. The one left thumb-stick drifts upwards and the other one has a right thumb-stick drift issue that drifts upward.

    Like what the heck am I suppose to do. #SMH

    That's called stick drift and has nothing to do with this firmware issue. Your controller is broken, you can have Microsoft fix it for a fee or replace it. But no software update will fix stick drift.

    Deadzones aren't really intended to fix stick drift. Stick drift is a fault that needs repairing.

    And the customisation is another reason to buy the Elite. They need to make it different from the standard controller.

    Ouch you've had some bad luck. I've not had that issue at all. Mine has always been the audio jack plug failing. But never had stick drift. Maybe you apply a lot of pressure when you play?
