“Dead by daylight windows”not loading

A.
Reinstall Gaming Services using powershell command

Press Windows key + X and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).

Type or copy / past the following command and press Enter:

Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

Restart the PC and Open the Xbox application.

A blue notification with the following message is going to appear at the bottom:
"This app needs an extra component. Gaming Services is needed for playing some games. Administrator approval required. Install"

Select Install to reinstall Gaming Services, once installed check again

B. Do a clean boot in your PC and check if the issue persist or not

C. Can be a bit odd but please reinstall the Microsoft store and all it's components (use both methods provided by Lester)

After that go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.
After that, click repair and then reset

Then do the same for the Xbox app and dead by daylight

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset.
Restart the PC and try again

Is this happening on Windows 11 or 10?
That error message appears as soon as you open the game?
If possible please attach an screenshot
since yesterday that you decided to play the game the problem appeared? Or before that you was able to play the game?
If you try to open a different game the issue persists or not at all?
What are your hardware specs (processor model, graphics card model, RAM)

And what did you tried so far to fix this problem
In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed

Windows 10.

As soon as i click dead by daylight itll load up the Microsoft store app and say error.





Ive been playing it before that day yesterday and now it does that. Minecraft works fine but i fully paid for that so i dont know if thats the issue since ive downloaded dead by daylight from game pass on my pc.

Ive updated my pc and updated games and Microsoft store. Restarted my Pc. Haven't deleted and redownloaded.

Processers Model (I believe) AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00 GHz

Ram - 32.0 GB

Graphics Card - Radeon(Tm) RX 460 Graphics

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues accessing your characters on PC.

Unfortunately, Dead by Daylight is not part of the "Play Anywhere" program and as such, it requires separate purchases for each gaming platform. This means that the base game and any DLC content purchased on console won't work on PC (and vice versa).

I'm afraid this is the reason why you don't see your characters in the PC version of the game.
