    Pretty sure this is related to the network 'fix' in the update I received yesterday in the beta ring for something about network issues after appearing offline...

    Wired or wifi to same home connection - syncing data fails, won't launch games online.

    Hotspot connection on my phone - launches games.

    Test network speed and statistics shows 100% packet loss on my home internet - wired or wifi, yet it's connected.

    Test network speed and statistics on my phone Hotspot, 0% packet loss, everything works.

    If I switch to my wired connection after a game launches, it will play online just fine. Obviously not 100% packet loss...

    Can't start or join parties, or if I get in one I'm greyed out. Other person says disconnected.

    Messages threads not loading, but I can see the list of threads.

    My internet is 100% fine. No issues on their end. No network settings changed. I never have connection issues, up until this update.

    Tried changing dns settings.... Nada.

    Reset everything repeatedly... Nada.

    Briefly earlier I changed the port on xbox from auto to manual, picked one and suddenly it worked. Switched back to auto and it was still good. Had to step away for a hour, come back to the same problem.

    No issues at all with any other devices connected to my home internet. Speed test via phone connection to wifi shows zero packet loss.

    At this point I'm guessing I'm going to have to wait for the next update, but this is bonkers. Any help appreciated.

    Data Syncing Problems!?

    My data sync was stuck at 100% and then said that they "were unable to sync your data with the cloud just now". So I would suggest that this is not just a Turn 10 problem Evoded and it may be worth speaking to support again.

    Do you have a reference for this quote

    "Thanks for updating us with your reply. The issue with updating turned out to be related to a

    Preview Build for the console that was sent out to our Preview Program customers that day
    . What this means is that if your console is enrolled in the Preview Program, then traditional troubleshooting will not work for your console. " unquote

    I downloaded that exact Preview build without any issues at all. However, I did wait until
    the Core issue problem with XBLive was resolved before attempting the update.

    I am still using that build and have not had any major issues.

    There is a new update for the Beta Ring coming out today (8th May) which may resolve this.

    Sync Games Data Issue

    I have been having this exact issue for a few days. All troubleshooting steps fail. Syncing 20MB for Rise of Tomb Raider fails at 40-50%% after 15 minutes. The message is "We could not sync your data. Please try again later or player offline." Error code
    is blank (). For some unexplained reason though, I found that connecting via my phone's hotspot works - and I synced ~1.5GB of Fallout 4 data in 30 minutes. It's lucky I have this temporary work-around or I would have been stuck.

    All other Xbox network functions, game updates and downloads, work without any issues with my normal Centurylink DSL connection. Network and multiplayer tests pass with flying colors. it's just the cloud data syncing that's failing.

    Oh definitely, there is a lot more than just that... But a huge part of networking for gaming is the graphics/game engine and the amount of people connected.

    That's quite an interesting read, but I don't think anyone really had issues with every once in awhile getting booted because of a small issue with the flawed stat tracking. I just have to go back to them, but Bungie has the best netcode and stat tracking
    in the business, period. I have never seen another game get my stats 100% correct a minute or two after a game is over. Not just that, but almost no lag. Ridiculous.

    It's great that they're improving the stat tracking, but the extreme majority of the issues with the servers comes from how many players are connected and the amount of data the game is processing through the servers (Basically, the graphics/game engine
    itself).

    Also, it should be noted that you're statement of them testing these specific servers in the beta may not be true. They posted that in January, basically outlining what they were going to do with it.
