    I entered my alternate mac address and my internet still wont work, what do i do now?


    My internet randomly stopped working so i tested the connection to see the issue, it told me to enter the alternate mac address. So I did that and it still won't work, I have tried resetting the router and my xbox

    I am sorry to hear that.

    When you say reset, did you do a factory reset?

    Which error message you are receiving?

    Have you tried Wi-Fi and LAN cable?

    Please, change your connection DNS.

    Follow these steps:

    Go to Profile and System > Settings > General > Network Settings.

    Select the network you're connected to, then select Advanced settings > Manual

    On the DNS field, input these:

    Primary: 8.8.8.8

    Secondary: 8.8.4.4

    Save settings.

    If it still does not work, please, if you know how to do it, make a Wi-Fi hotspot router on your phone and connect to it.

    That way we can isolate the issue, by testing another internet connection, using your mobile data plan.

    sorry, i accidentally put this was helpful as i tried it as i was connected to my hotspot, but i tried the factory reset and unplugging it, and the dns settings, i cannot do a lan and im currently trying to use wifi

    I don't think it has a splash page now, but I could be wrong. Connecting to the internet on my laptop or PS3 is still the same as always. When I click on Alternate MAC Address, it is just blank and asks you to enter one. If you're referring to the MAC
    Address once you click on Advanced Settings, it reads, 0022482CC6DB.

    What you will need to do is get a device connected such as a laptop, tablet, or phone. Once that is connected, go into the settings for that device and find its Wireless MAC Address. Once you have found the Wireless MAC Address, on the Xbox One go to Settings
    > Network. Go to Advanced Settings and select Alternate MAC Address. Enter the Wireless MAC Address of your device in here. After entering this, the network will now see the Xbox One with the MAC Address of your connected device and it will be able to access
    the internet.
