Why does my Xbox One say "UPnP Not Successful" if the wifi is fine?

I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your console's network settings.

If this happened only after switching your network hardware, then it's likely your new router needs an update or some additional settings need to be changed.

Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is what your Xbox uses to set up your router for multiplayer gaming and chat. If you see “UPnP Not Successful” in your console’s Network settings, first see if your router needs an update. If your router has the latest manufacturer update:

- Sign in to your router’s setup webpage, and make sure the router’s UPnP setting is turned on. You can usually find first-time help with this in the router manual or on the manufacturer’s support site.

- Turn the UPnP setting off and save your changes.
- Restart your console, your modem, and your router.
- Turn the UPnP setting back on and save your changes. If there’s a Zero Config setting, make sure that’s turned on as well.
- Restart your modem and router.

Once you’ve reset your router:

- Restart your console.
- Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
- Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.
- Check your settings again to make sure the UPnP message is gone.

If UPnP still isn’t working, or isn’t supported on your gateway/router, you can also try using the router’s DMZ, Port Forwarding, or Port Triggering features.

I'm having the same issue. It's saying UPnP not successful. Won't connect to Xbox live but my internet is fine and I can watch YouTube on the Xbox but can't launch any games

Same thing happening here. I am using XBOX model X. I am not experiencing this with other games. I am connected via WiFi. Under current network status it says: IPv4 & IPv6, NAT type: Moderate, UPnP not successful, Xbox.com/xboxone/UPnP, All services are available.

Have a look at this Support for UPnP unsuccessful for guidance.

If all your other devices are WiFi try connecting the console with wired ethernet cable.

You may be getting signal interference.
