How to power on the RGB lights in my wired headset for Xbox series X

Hi, Samuel! Thank you for reaching out.
I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.
I understand you'd like to have the RGB lights on your headset on.

Unfortunately, the USB port on your Xbox controller is meant for power input only, meaning it will not provide power to your headset if you plug it in. If you are close enough to your console or TV/monitor, you could plug it into one of their USB ports.

Alternatively, you could get a longer USB cable and do the same from a greater distance. Please make sure you can't trip with the cable if you choose to go with this option.

Additionally, I'd advise against plugging it into anything that's meant to charge other devices like a power bank, phone charger, etc. Please make sure you read the manufacturer's safety recommendations and instructions before attempting something of that nature. Stay safe.

Please let me know if you have any further questions, I'd be happy to help.
    Best regards.

    Xbox series X - AUDIO - USB vs 3.5mm headphones - Quality & Latency

I understand you about the xbox license.

I rather not want to have a wireless headset because I dont like charging and the battery life will decrease over time. So that leave me with two options:
    1. Wired, 3.5mm into the Xbox series x controller
    2. Wired, usb, into the Xbox series X

I checked the microsoft store and there are only 2 compatible series X headsets. Both wireles.

Do you know any wired Xbox series X headset? That is compatible with the series x? I prefer USB but have to go 3.5mm otherwise.

    USB Headset

This is my first time owning a wired USB headset. Other than allowing RGB to work on a headset, I have no idea as of yet.

    Headset

im glad we were able to find out what the problem was. Sorry to tell you, but honestly headsets aren't exactly expensive to replace unless you want like wireless and RGB colors, then it gets expensive. If youd like, i could link you the headset i use for
everything. My xbox, pc, and phone. It is wired and lights up (Blue only). It was pretty cheap.
