Xbox series x fan stops spinning when Xbox series x is put to sleep or shutdown mode

You should not disconnect the power from the Xbox Series X while it is in sleep or shutdown mode even if the fan does not rotate ???

Yes, what you are describing is completely normal. After turning your console off, the fans will continue to work for a few minutes and then stop completely. As you mentioned, this happens on both Sleep mode and Energy Saving.

As a side note, If you plan on unplugging your console after turning it off, I'd suggest waiting until the fans stop spinning.

Hello Ingram, in these modes it usually maintains a low rotation of the fan, for automatic updates etc. if you wish and is what I usually do on my console is a complete shutdown of the console, going into: Settings»Power mode & start-up»Total Shutdown.

The Series S, just like the Series X is designed to be quite, in normal gaming (even when play X|S optimised games) the Series S fan should not be audible. It should be pretty much silent.

Have you changed the location of where your console is located? These consoles get warm (hot even), this is normal. So their location is actually more important than hearing the fan spinning.

This is unnecessary. I have to pay $300 to fix a spinning fan problem. You can't give refunds on hardware problems that were caused due to negligence.
