How do I switch my ipv from 4 to 6

It's a multi step process.

First, you have to check with your Internet Provider if they support IPv6 and if it's enabled on your connection.

To set it up, follow these steps:

Go to Settings > Select Network > Select Advanced settings > Select IP settings > Change the "IPv6" setting from "Automatic" to "Manual."

Enter your IPv6 address, subnet prefix length, and default gateway information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Save your changes.

Just to add to what Boombaa said, IPv4 and IPv6 work together. You home router and Internet service provider will issue an address for both on your network. IPv6 also works differently on a network, as your devices can use it's own 'stateless' address.

Also, not all services on the internet support the new protocol, this why both are being used at the same time. And just for the record, IPv6 does not make your internet any quicker.

Logically your Xbox One will automatically get an IPV6 address, nothing to do from your side:

All my Xbox's are hard wired with IPV 4 and 6 with open nat I don't understand why it's not authenticating.

Disabling IPV 6 also worked for me
