My minecraft refund request was approved and the money returned but then microsoft still...

Hello Xninja, when requesting a refund it will be analyzed by the refund department of Microsoft, if approved you will have your money returned to the payment method you used.

The refund request was approved on 1/13/24 and still hasn't been processed. I have already spoke to Xbox support and all they did was resend the refund request in again and approved it, but I still didn't receive my money back

Got my refund request approved in 20th of Jan and no sign of my money to this day.

Microsoft says it only takes 2-3 business days for monetary refund after approval but this is taking way too long.

I bought Minecraft with a pre paid master card gift cad, but I accidentally bough the deluxe version that costed more. My plan was to request a refund and buy the regular version instead. I sent a refund request and it got approved. I got a email from Microsoft saying "Your Microsoft Store refund has been processed" and that the order has been refunded. The Payment section listed my gift card which was not reloadable. I checked the website that was listed on the gift card to check the card balance and the money wasn't there.

Is my money gone? What should I do?

Nonreloadable only means you can't got to the store and reload it with more money.

Refunds will still work as normal though. Once Microsoft shows the refund as "approved" on their end it can then take usually between 3-5 business days before you would actually see the money back on the card. Refunds are never instant when a refund goes back to a credit/debit card.

Prepaid cards could take longer potentially though so something to bear in mind.

If you want to return the game, you will need to visit Request an Xbox refund | Xbox Support, sign in using the account that bought the game, select what you want a refund for and then request the refund!

If your refund request is approved it usually take from 3 to 5 business days for your money to be back!
