I don't think you want Point values changed with the value of the AUD. Exchange rates change daily sometimes and it would only confuse people into not knowing how much they are actually paying.

Gamertags are not freed up immediately after you change them. So at the time you changed your 2nd account, the system may have still seen the original tag in the system.

actually there is a way, but it requires Access to a 360 and a 2nd Microsoft account without gamertag

- sign in your current gamertag on xbox 360

- navigate to Settings->account->account security->change gamertag

you can then enter your 2nd Microsoft account there, this way you can Keep your email account and delete your 2nd account
