I set up my microsoft / xbox account years ago under another email. I do not know that password and can't recover it because I don't have access to the email. Now, I am locked out completely, as the passkey was entered wrong 3x by my son, and it is prompting
me to put in my password for the email I used initially to set it up. I don't have this.

Have you tried recovering recently? Try it and give the messages. it is possible that after some years of non-use, the account was just simply locked out.
