Don't worry, as mentioned to you by Microsoft support, a gamertag change may take a few days to be fully reflected, if the order appears completed in your order history, the change should be completed sooner or later.

Although the change has already a considerable time, sooner or later should be reflected in the system completely, I just ask you to have a little patience.

Update: it has been 2-3 weeks since I changed my gamertag and still no change , the old one is still showing up as my main.

Nope still got my old gamertag on there and I did pay for this one tho when I click "Choose your new gamertag" it shows my new one but when I back out it still shows my old gamertag.

Thank you for contacting the forums. From my understanding, your old gamertag may appear to be the old one for awhile until your Xbox refreshes. When you view your profile, does it show your new gamertag or your old one? You may want try to manually delete
and redownload your profile from the Xbox.
