How do I fix my LB button that’s responds as RB button on my Xbox series X controller?

The problem with my LB button working as RB button is on my Xbox series x controller

- Make sure your controller is up to date from the Xbox Accessories app.

- Identify if this happens in all games, there are some that can manually configure the function of each button and this may be the cause of the problem.

- Identify if it happens wirelessly and connected by USB cable.

Try to perform a cache clear with the following steps.

1. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox until the console turns off.

2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox.

3. Wait a minute, and then plug the power cord back in.

4. Press the Power button on your Xbox to turn it back on.

5. Your cache should be clear at this point.

I haven't tried to reinstall system updates yet.

I have a couple of questions, though:

-- What do you mean by the "panel button" on the controller? Is that the Xbox button on the controller?

-- Also, when you say go to storage and enter the "following sequence of buttons: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X," does LB and RB refer to the left and right buttons on the directional pad or the left and right trigger buttons?

Using your controller please press these buttons in this sequence: LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X

Hi all, go to settings, then the window that show's the hard drive and cloud storage, press this button sequence on your controller LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X. Delete the update. reboot xbox. sign in and do the update again. reboot and try and play the game disc,
this worked for me, but for how long i will have to see.
