why can't my friends see my minecraft skin??

Based on the description, your friend cannot see your skin you have used when playing Minecraft online. Let us see and check on what we can do to help resolve your concern.

The issue you are describing here is in-game specific issue and best address to the game developer. What we can do to help is providing you the related article that outline how to equip those skin in your profile depending on the version of Minecraft you are playing or guide you how to reach the game developer support team directly.

By the way, as a rule of thumb, you can only change your skin if you have migrated your premium account. So to change your skin, you must migrate your account to a Microsoft account. For your reference, see the related article below which was provided by the game developer.
