Ubisoft account age restriction query

GTA has nothing to do with Ubisoft. It is a Rockstar game. Are you sure about the error you are seeing? Can you possibly share a picture of what happens when trying to play GTA?

it will be due to xbox app auto opening ubi app and requiring sign in, microsoft need to stop pulling this tosh with their apps.

won't be long until the xbox app opens every launcher on the planet hence why i uninstalled it off my main rig.

With regards to your concern, there are certain games that are very strict when it comes to the age of the player's account such as Rockstar games for GTA V is one of them. Let us try some steps to see if you will be allowed to update the date of birth of your son:

1. Using the parent account sign in via https://account.microsoft.com/family page

2. Under the child account, click elipsis or 3 dots button and choose the Manage option.

There you may change the date of birth of the child account and remove any restrictions. Once done, just restart the console and check if there are still restrictions.
