There is another free game due out first of next month, it may be more to your liking. Cant help you with the friends /clan thing. Do you use a mic when you play, talking to people helps.

Subscription Management page. If you are not given an immediate refund upon cancellation, be sure to submit an order return request on our

Xbox Refund site. We strongly recommend you reach out to one of our billing specialists at
Xbox Support to make sure everything is taken care off.

Also keep in mind that Subscriptions auto renew if you do not cancel them. This is the same for Xbox live gold and gamepass. You are told this before you can confirm the purchase.
