My microphone doesn't work

My headset which worked for months has been great. But recently the microphone just doesn't pick up anything on xbox. It still picks up audio on pc and my switch but for some reason not on xbox I don't know if it's a system issue or not because it's not the headset because audio still comes through. Pls help

May I know exactly your Xbox console model? Also, what's your headset make/model? Do you connect it through the Xbox controller or connect it wirelessly?

First, try to power cycle your console. Press and hold Xbox's power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

Are you directly connected in Jack ?

If so, I advise you to buy the xbox adapter for headsets.

Some headsets have a lot of trouble working without them.
