    For context, about 3 years ago, I got Minecraft on my PS4, and I needed to make a Microsoft account, but my mom wanted to make it for me, and when she did she added parental controls, and now theres an assortment of online features I can't access due to it. I turned 18 August 28th of last year, but I assume Microsoft doesn't detect when you're no longer a child? I had my annual urge to play Minecraft with friends but I can't because of this. I've gone to my mom about it and she doesn't remember any account she's made related to Microsoft. I just need to know if there is ANY possible way to change my linked account, to one that doesn't have these parental controls. I saw someone say something about deleting the save data of the application, and I tried that, but all it did was make me sign in again to the same account.

    Hi Belle, I'm back again. I successfully changed my date of birth, as well as my username, and it all shows up on Minecraft, however I still get the same prompt when trying to join a realm. "You cannot play on Realms because of how your Microsoft Account is set up. Please ensure your online safety settings allow Multiplayer and Clubs." I follow the link and it instructs to have a parent change these settings, but obviously, that wasn't the problem.

    Yes, because regardless if you have unliked them in the game, you will be unable to link your PSN to a different Microsoft account as stated above.

    Hi Perssonaz my name is Belle. I'd love to clarify.

    You would need to unlink it in the game menu and sadly, if you did, you won't be able to link it to a different Microsoft account. Please also note that Mojang mentioned that once a Microsoft account has been linked to a PSN, neither of them can be associated with a different account.

    Your mother needs to retrieve her account at https://account.live.com/acsr in order for her to remove you from the family group.

    Additionally, if you are part of a family group and of legal age, you may manually leave the family group under the family safety by signing in here: https://account.microsoft.com/family click the 3 dots beside "You" and click "Go to Overview" > On the left panel, click Overview > Scroll down and you will see "Member settings" and click on "Leave family group".

    If you were not in the family group, you will be able to correct your birth date at https://account.microsoft.com/profile. Have you tried it?

    To the PSN, and to make it simpler, its not wise to unlink an account as you wouldn't be able to use your PSN or Microsoft account to relink them to a different account.
