    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Code Not Working


    I've got a 2-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate code I've received from a Discord Nitro reward but I keep getting the same error message everytime I try to redeem the code. "Check the instructions that came with your code. You might need to redeem it on a different web page."

    I have tried to redeem this on the Xbox Windows App, Microsoft Store and the Microsoft website that Discord redirects you to when you click the redeem button on Discord but all of them prompt the same error message.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    Xbox Gold conversion

    If you are already a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, then any Gold codes you redeem will be converted to Game Pass Ultimate. If you are not an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscriber, then no, the Gold codes should not convert to Game Pass Ultimate.

    Do you have Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate? Because the error speak about "conversion", maybe you are trying to redeem an Xbox Live code of a different region and conversion to Game Pass Ultimate don't work in this way. As additional information the codes
    are always region assigned.

    I was about to redeem a code for 3 months of gold and it would only redeem as 1 month of ultimate

    If you had Xbox Game Pass Ultimate already active before you redeem that code, when you enter a code for Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass it will add as Game Pass Ultimate and not only Xbox Game Pass, is this your case?

    You are not forced to use ultimate. If you wanted to go back to Xbox Live Gold you needed first to cancel the ultimate subscription, and then insert the code. For all users, with xbox game pass ultimate active, when you submit a xbox live/xbox game pass
    for console/ xbox game pass for pc codes it will automatically convert in xbox game pass ultimate months using the established ratio.
