Xbox crashing randomly on certain games and turning off

Sorry to hear about what happened. This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in.

I just want to confirm, have you already performed a factory reset (keeping games & apps)?

To further isolate the issue, I suggest to play using a different Xbox profile. It's possible that it may be caused by a corrupted game data.

Might as well try to clear your local saved games:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage devices.
Select Clear local saved games.
Note: Selecting this option will not delete any games or progress you have saved in the Xbox cloud. It will only clear data you have saved locally.
Select Yes to confirm.
Once your console restarts, try playing the game again.

I have a Slim, 250GB.. The xbox has been shutting off randomly not as if it were crashing but as if it were acualy being turned off via power button, there is so certain amount of 'dings' etc it's all random. The disk tray has not came open yet. It's very
strange tbh.

Not necessarily fifa 21 xbox one version crashes and turns mine off so does fortnite

Hi, If you didn't know, the Xbox Series X turns itself off randomly to protect itself from overheating or when there is no power. It can also hard crash, even when playing relatively low-powered games like Minecraft.

Any other suggestions, it just seems to randomly freeze up and shut down. Doesn’t even turn off controller or headset just hard crashes.
