    Is there a way to find out the email address for a gamertag?


    So I played Minecraft with a couple of friends on an Aternos server (I still have access as an admin to it) back in April of 2022.

    Stopped playing 2 months later. As of a few days ago I wanted to start playing Minecraft again and drew a complete blank on the email address I used.

    I only remember my gamertag: Darksoul2142

    I did try the email I use sometimes but it showed Minecraft as not purchased so it is obviously some other email which I have forgotten. Been kind of desperate as I also emailed Minecraft support and unfortunately they couldn't help me as it was an issue with a Microsoft account.

    Every gamertag is tied to a Microsoft account email address - can you clarify where you're seeing that your gamertag isn't connected to an email address?

    The tips in the Forgotten Info guide can help you try to find the email address associated with your gamertag - if you try those are you able to locate that email address?

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

    When I click that link it asks me for an email address. Is this for my son's account or mine? Something I noticed on our xbox is that my two younger sons have gamertags but their email addresses are not connected to these, and I can't find a way to link the two without it trying to create a new gamertag for their emails.

    Yes for a gamertag they all need to have their own password and email address attached to it. Email addresses are free! Just have to make one. Its no way around not having an email address attached to a gamertag.
