Unwanted Age Restrictions

Probable reason is due to content restriction configuration. If your age is lower than the set limit to age, then you would be getting this error.

So far, from the details you provided, you can try the following steps and let us know the result.

You may request to the Family organizer for exception

To grant content exceptions for members in your Xbox family group:

1. Make sure that the member is signed in to the console. Sign out any other inactive profiles before proceeding to the next step.
   
2. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and then select My games & apps > See all.
   
3. Locate the content that you want to grant permission for a member to access, and then select Ask now.
   
4. On the Choose who will give permission screen, select your organizer account. If prompted, sign in to your account with one of the available methods, or use your console’s PIN.
   
5. Select either Always or Just this once depending on the type of exception that you’re granting. When you select Always, this exception is permanent and can’t be revoked.

Using an organizer account on the Xbox Family Settings app

1. Open the Xbox Family Settings app on your mobile device, and then select Settings.
   
2. Choose the member whose settings you want to adjust.
   
3. Under Content restrictions select Apply age filters, and then select the current age filter.
   
4. Under Allow content suitable for change the age limit to Age 18+ (unrestricted), and then select Save.
   

Note Adjusting this filter will affect a member’s ability to access content that may be deemed inappropriate for their age range.

I would try going into the settings and make sure nothing was reset or changed. Visit

Change Privacy Settings and
Default Settings for more information and hopefully a possible solution. I'm not sure if this will solve your issue, but hopefully it helps.

sorry depending on your age EA actually have a age restriction on their games this includes BF3, this age restrictions is noone under the age 13 can play their games online
