Why was the text chat feature in Roblox removed on Xbox?

I swear I remember being able to type in chat on roblox on my Xbox before, but now I see there is no option for text chat. What I do see is that there is a voice chat feature, which makes me question the reasoning of removing the text chat in the first place. It’s not possible to censor voice chat like it is for text chat. So, who is gonna prevent a player from joining a game and cussing in children’s ears? Horrible business decision in my opinion.

It's possible that the text chat feature was removed from the Xbox version of the game for various reasons. It's possible that the text chat feature was removed due to issues with players using inappropriate language or engaging in cyberbullying, which can be more difficult to moderate in voice chat.

No worries, it's also possible that Roblox is monitoring the feedback from the community, and if there is a high demand for text chat, they may consider adding the feature again in the future.

Xbox uses voice chat (party chat). There is no text chat in Roblox on Xbox One. It was removed awhile back.

Unfortunately, there is no concrete timeline for when the voice chat feature will be released on Roblox. However, it has been reported that files for this kind of chat have been in the game since 2019, so it could just be a matter of time.

As for text chat, it seems that there is no text chat feature in Roblox on Xbox One. However, you can use voice chat (party chat) to communicate with your friends while playing Roblox on Xbox.

That's interesting considering the fact that xbox has enabled voice chat which can be miles worse in toxicity.. roblox chat has many filters and punishments for toxicity, racism and more. Im sure that was the reason for removing chat but I just dont understand why voice chat is allowed when that cant be filtered like text chat.
