    Xbox App crashing on launch - windows 11


    Every time I open the Xbox app on my pc it just doesn't load up, it pops up for 0.5s then closes into my minimised apps and will not load at all. when I do get it to at least open the app I cannot download anything, it comes up with () unknown remaining for what drive the game will be installed onto. I have tried countless things to fix this as I really like some of the games on pc game pass, any help would be appreciated.

    just went back to windows 11 to test the game, still crashes on launch. my boyfriend is on windows 11 and has no issues with the game at all. maybe i'm just the unlucky one :D

    Yes, I am seeing Xbox One SmartGlass crash on launch on Windows and Windows Phone as well - though I am not seeing it on my Nexus 11 (or iPhone/iPad). Looking into this. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hi George,

    I was using the latest version of Windows 11, the October update.

    Anyways, after checking the disk, checking for Windows updates, defragmenting, and updating the Xbox app, it stopped crashing.
