Does fortnite support the new gamer tags on Xbox?

The Gamertag is not linked to your Epic account name.

Visit your Epic Account page:

https://www.epicgames.com/account/personal

In the box labeled DISPLAY NAME, enter your desired new display name.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click SAVE CHANGES.

Fortnite was released before the new gamertag policy went into place and does not support that policy. So you'll see the old tag in the game.

Hello Kane, this is really weird, as the gamertag exchange process is automatic it may take some time to be updated on the developers' servers.

You've tried uninstalling Fortnite and resetting the console by keeping games and Apps and then reinstalling the game again if you haven't tried to follow the procedures below.

First unistall the game.

Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

After this, reinstall the game.
