    Shut down PC after pausing game install, ~40% of files downloaded, game won't install now.


    I was pre-installing FH5 for its release tonight at midnight and ended up pausing the install and shutting down my PC when I had to go to work. Just got home and tried to continue the install but I cannot even begin the reinstall. About 40% (the amount that I paused and shut down my PC at) of the files HAVE been installed,, and I know this because my C: drive has less space than it did earlier...

    Any ideas on how to fix?

    I can't find the file location, so I can't uninstall the files that have already been downloaded.

    To fix this, simply go into the microsoft store (not xbox app) and start the install there, my boyfriend had the idea and it worked, it randomly popped back up in the xbox app and continued from where the download had dissapeared, i hope this works for you as i spent days having no idea wtf to do as xbox supp was useless

    Can't seem to find the appdate folder in Network Service. Do you know why ?

    OP here (on another microsoft account),

    I cant uninstall any of the files in that "cache" folder because "the folder or a file in it is open in another program."

    Any way to get around this?

    In the file explorer you have to type C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\DeliveryOptimization\Cache to get to where Jesse is saying.

    ye i know but when i get to NetworkService there's no AppData folder. If i copy paste what you just sent it gives me an error message because the appdata folder doesnt exist

    windows > serviceprofiles > networkservice > appdata > local>microsoft > windows > deliveryoptimisation > cache > it should lead you to a folder, the size of which exactly matches the amount of storage you are missing.
