Xbox One -Ticket to ride - crashes on load screen

At the start of the month I purchased the Ticket to ride game and the add-on bundle with all maps. Since then the game is unplayable. The load screen comes up and shortly after he train whistle blows 3 times, the game crashes back to the Xbox home screen.
The game worked from game pass, and I see no option to install the add-on, not to do so.I have shut down, reinstalled, verified the purchases show up on my history, etc. to no avail. I waited acouple weeks in case a patch was orthcoming. No other game is affected
that I have yet found. Any troubleshooting advice, or should I be asking for my money back?

I did some testing and found out that the game only crashes on a Xbox Live profile that played the game when it was on game pass. My son and I both played it on our profiles on gamepass and now the game crashes every time. My wife and daughter never played it on game pass and they can both play the game with no issues and all the DLCs. I did notice when I started the game on their profiles that a window opened up at the exact point where my game crashes. The window asks permission to access your profile. The crashing has something to do with that window trying to open up and because I played it on game pass something is different so it crashes back to the homepage. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, deleting the saves locally and in the cloud. I also completely reformatted the Xbox back to factory settings and then reinstalled everything. I tried the game on a Xbox One, two different Xbox One X's and two different Xbox series X's nothing worked. This is going to have to be fixed by the game developer.
