No audio passthrough through my wireless Xbox one controller on Windows 10

Hello guys,

I've connected my Xbox one controller through bluetooth to my PC. The controller works fine except the fact that when I plug in my 3.5 mm headset to the port in the controller, there is no audio output through it. I've looked under my sound playback devices
and the Xbox controller isn't there. I've tried unpairing an pairing it many times but that doesn't seem to work. I also couldn't find it under device manager. Was hoping you fellas might be able to help me.

I bought the xbox adapter for windows 10 and audio works just great. It auto connects with my headset (SONY WH-1000XM3) It costs around 25$. I bought it cause when I tried to connect via motherboard' s Bluetooth my controller and my headset every game had terrible fps drop. So I bought the adapter and I' m good.

for a headset to work through the xbox controller on pc it (the controller) has to be wired or using the xbox wireless adapter, audio passthrough is not supported via bluetooth.

Yeah, it works on USB. Thanks for the reply.

Sad though, the fact that there is no audio pass-through on Bluetooth.

Hi,

There are limitations to using bluetooth to connect your controller to a PC. Unfortunately one of these is the use of the 3.5mm port.

It should work fine via USB. If you don't like a wired connection, the the other option is an official Xbox One wireless receiver.

For xbox one controllers and xbox series controllers

by bluetooth if your pc has this (does not support audio passthrough so no headest support via controller).

by wire (this supports audio passthough for headsets via controller)

by purchasing the xbox wireless adapter for pc (this supports audio passthough for headsets via controller)

the console does not even have any bluetooth hardware internally, the controllers do as they can connect via bluetooth to pc and wifi to the console.

the reason you see the console under devices on pc is due to it being on the same network.

the controller can be paired via bluetooth on pc but with limitations.

audio passthrough on the controller will not work via bluetooth

wired connection supports audio passthrough

wireless connection with a microsoft wireless adapter for controller with support audio passthrough.
